This should technically be assigned to GWINEAR but we do not yet have a separate Forum for that Parish.
However I think there may well be a significant connection with Crown involved here.
Have just found the following two baptisms on the IGI for Gwinear:-
6th July 1851 Thomas Hocken Trewhela HARVEY s/o William & Mary
9th June 1850 Thomas Trewhela HOLMAN s/o James and Philippa
Of particular interest to me because of the TREWHELA name but I am sure there are some of you with interests in the other names.
Any input welcome as I am only just about to investigate these and see what links there might be.

Greetings, Vicci--
and welcome to the board. I think we are about to open this coversation. Thomas Hocken Trewhela Harvey 1851-55 and Thomas Hocken Harvey 1856 were sons of my Great-great-greatgrandfather William Harvey and his wife, Mary Hocken. I am a descendant of their son Edward. William's parents were William Harvey and Anne Trewhela, daughter of Thomas Trewhela and Martha Blewett. I am interested to learn how your Holman branch fits in.

My 2nd great-grandfather, Edward Harvey, arrived in the USA in 1868, and his wife, Mary Semmons, and their first two children (William and Mary) joined him in Upper Michigan in 1872. Their third child, Edward, was born in 1873 and died in Houghton, Michigan of scarlet fever at age 5. My great-grandfather, also named Edward, was their 8th child. Mary Semmons' family also lived in Crowan. She died October 8, 1905 which was the day my grandfather, Edward Bertram Harvey, was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Thinking of them this month.
