Phillipa Quick was married to Jakeh Glasson in 1829 in St Ives. I am quite familiar with the Glasson family but I have not been able to connect the Quick family at this time.
Phillipa's parents were Thomas Quick and Joan Williams and they were married in St Ives in 1798. Joan appears in both the 1841 and 1851 census, however Thomas must have died prior to the 1841 census.
Can somebody possible tell me which family produced this Thomas and how he connects to the earlier Quick families.

Always the hard questions. Hi Allen - I am yet to determine the origins of Thomas Quick but can tell you that I am reasonably certaiin that the marriage to Joan Williams was a second marriage. In fact, he is named as widower at that time. I believe his first wife to have been Jane MICHELL who he married at Zennor in 1789. Jane was the daughter of Robert Michell and Jane (nee QUICK). There were no children to this marriage and I am yet to find a burial for Jane but all evidence that I have points to this being the correct scenario. I will try to do some more work on the Quick families to see if I might determine where Thomas belongs. At this point in time he is still a 'loose cannon'. Ian
