Interested in any views concerning the parentage of the John Trembath of Morvah who married Elizabeth Jeffery of Phillack at Madron in 1725. My own conclusion is that the John christened in 1696/7 to Richard Trembath and Honour Gilbert seems to be the only known candidate for him. Does anyone agree/disagree? And is anything also known about Elizabeth's own parentage?

First thing first - I have just checked my copy of Phillimore & Taylor Marriages for Madron:- John Trembath & Elizabeth Jeffery, of PAUL 23 July 1726 I gather this is the same entry so I need to ask if you have seen the actual Parish Register for your information as I have found a couple of errors in P&T over the years. Generally, though, the P&T information is pretty accurate. Other than that, although I have tried working on some of the Trembath families in the past, I have not found any information as yet on this one. Most of my interest was in piecing together the families of Morvah itself. The best people I know of to contact about this, and probably more particularly about Elizabeth, would be Nancy Tonkin and Carlene Harry. I don't have a current address for Carlene but I will send you a PM with an address for Nancy.
