I was always told by my Cornish grandmother (Olive Weight nee Davy) daughter of James E Davy and Emily S Ball that we were related to Sir Humphrey. As he himself had no children, this link (if there is one) must come from siblings above his family tree line.
Olive’s grandparents were Henry Davy 1844 and Emma Doidge 1846 Her great grandparents were John Davey 1806 and Catherine Rowe 1805 Her great great grandparents were John Davy 1778 and Sarah Tregloyne 1783
Any help gratefully received

There was a John Davey baptised at St Agnes 24th May 1778 to parents Humphrey and Mary and another John also baptised at St Agnes in 1778 to Thomas and Mary Davey.
John Davey and Sarah Tregloyne were married at Linkinhorne in 1778 which is quite some distance from St Agnes but from the details you have given I have a sneaking suspicion your grandmother Olive might be referring to Humphrey and Mary which would suggest any link to Sir Humphrey might be a little more distant. Humphrey of the 1778 marriage appears to have been baptised at St Agnes in 1747 to another Humphrey and wife Elizabeth.
As I understand it Sir Humphrey was born at Penzance 17th December 1778 and baptised at Penzance 22nd January 1779 to parents Robert Davy and Grace Millett who married at Madron in 1776. Robert Davy was born at Ludgvan in 1746 son of Edmund Davy and Grace Adams who married at Madron in 1744 and Edmund was baptised at Ludgvan in 1705 to Robert Davy and his second wife Joan Marrack who married at Paul in 1708. The line from there continues on at Ludgvan back to a marriage in 1568.
I cannot verify everything but as far as I am aware that line is correct back to the 1744 marriage of Edmund to Grace Adams.

Greetings I think Humprey Davy had one brother, John? I am very distantly connected to this family as a descendent of Christopher Millett and Honour Angwin. A suggestion for you is the research of Tony Millett. It is amazing to see what a librarian can do re: family history. tonymillett.tripod.com/familyhistory.htmlProbably your cousin, Zib
