I apologise if this is old news, but I have just come across Volume 9 of the Journal of The Royal Institution of Cornwall, pages 217-270 of which contain a detailed valuation of the lands and goods of the inhabitants of Penwith, based on the Subsidy Roll for a subsidy (or tax) collected between 1509-1523. This should be of some interest and value to anyone tracing their Penwith ancestry beyond the age of parish records. archive.org/details/journalofroyalin9188689roya/mode/2up
