I came across this rather poignant piece on the BBC news website www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-45489238/penzance-s-lost-valley-revisited-by-last-surviving-resident . During our recent dry spell, the farmhouse buildings, which were drowned when the Drift reservoir near Penzance was constructed and filled in 1961, have now been revealed for a short time. The news item provides an interview with Margaret Pengelly who spent her childhood at the farm and features some old photographs of the original buildings.

Margaret Pengelly has a B&B at Codna Coath and I have stayed with her. The most amazing lady with some really nice Cornwall stories.
