Whilst enjoining with my families annual gathering, that takes place every April in Perranporth, i took the time to visit the St Agnes museum and can recommend it to all. It's only a small affair but they've managed to pack a huge amount of local history into the place. It's situated adjacent to the village cemetery (which was handy. The building was, in fact, the chapel that once served the cemetery) and the ladies whom attend to the place are more than helpful. the museum houses a great deal of records and many have been split down into folders and referenced for ease of studying. I intend, on my next visit, to return with a few photos and bits of information regarding my own family associations with the parish (my father lived there from his school days until the late 1950's, when he moved to Perranporth, and a graet many family members spent their entire lives within the parish boundaries). I thoroughly recommend a visit by anybody who's passing and has an interest, or association, in St Agnes.
