i am trying to find more information on this Jane Curnow. She married Peter Thomas in St Ives, 21 Dec 1797. I think she is Mary Thomas mother. Mary Thomas married Thomas Roach (bapt 22 Dec 1793, St Ives) on 10 Aug 1817 in Towednack. Mary died in Kooringa, Burra, South Australia in 1863 aged 65. This makes her birth abt 1798. The whole Roach family emigrated to Australia in 1848. (16 surviving children) Have done a little digging and suspect her parents are Peter Thomas and Jane Curnow. However i do not have anything concrete. (It has taken some time to eliminate Mary Mitchel who is regularly cited as Thomas Roach's wife. She is a different Thomas' wife. That Thomas is son of William Roach, who was the son of Robert Roach And Jane Ninnes ) I am hoping someone who studies the Curnow's or Quick's maybe able to help me. Eliz

Hi Eliz and nice to hear from you again. Your query is ringing a loud deja vu bell with me... Ah, here it is! Have a read of the thread from March this year, under “Welcome: Surname Interests: Thomas & Roach/Towednack and Zennor". I think that might help you. Sue P.S. I don't know if you have seen the image of the marriage register for Peter & Jane St Ives 1797; if not, it can be found at image no. 77 in the relevant PR book on the FamilySearch website.

Hi Sue and CT.
Thanks. Read it, and listed a pile of questions on that thread.
