For reasons that I am trying to establish, I have in front of me a large A3 paper entitled "Martin/Trezise" with a Tree that starts in 1539 and ends in 1993. It is in my late father`s papers. There are 10 generations detailed in Madron, St.Just, Sancreed, Ludgvan etc areas. Names incl. Curnow, Trudgen, Richards, Pearce, Allen, Thomas, Beckerlegge, Bennetts, Rowe, Roberts, Penberthy etc. The Henry Allen b.1835 emigrated to Australia 1865. The Trythall went to Akron.
If anyone is curious.....
David.

I think you may have just started something here . So, how many copies can you make, and where do we send the postage money?

Cornishmaid: I have scanned the Trezise Tree, split into several separate images. I can e-mail them to anyone interested, or to one person who can "manage" them. Or post them to this site...but how? David.

David. Hi David To post them to this site, you will need some way to host them, so you can create a link to the documents. There are a number of free hosting sites available. I have created this one on behalf of the board: www.fileden.com/account.php?action=loginUsername: Penwith_Board
Password: Penwith_Board(Note the underscore between the words) To upload files: Click on the button called "Upload" It will ask you what files you want to upload from your PC - choose them by using the browse option When all is done, click OK (Don't worry about copying the code) For others to access the files:
www.fileden.com/account.php?action=login
Username: Penwith_Board
Password: Penwith_Board
(Note the underscore between the words)
Click on the button called "Files"
On the left hand side menu, click on "Switch to the old file browser"
(this is important, as unless you do that, I cannot see a way to download the files again)
Under "Main Folder", the files will be listed. They can either be opened by simply clicking on them, or they can be downloaded by right clicking, and choosing "Save Target As".
I hope this makes sense. I have uploaded a file entitled "Test Document" and it all worked (for me, at least). I will leave you to let interested parties know, after you have uploaded the relevant files, you can send them the blue text. Hopefully everything will work okay.

David - most interesting and I will get to it as soon as I can given you have outlined some names of interest to myself. Cannot do it immediately given my connection problems but will help as best I can when I can get to it. Sorry if I am messing you around but I am afraid it cannot be helped. Ian

Hi David, my name is Cassie Trezise and I am from Australia. My brother visited Robert Trezise who owns the Tobbaconist Shop in Penzance and he gave him the same tree as you have.I am still trying to find out where our branch connects. The Robert linked to William James Trezise on the left hand bottom is the Robert Trezise in Penzance. Hope this helps Cheers Cassie

Hello, Cassie, Thanks for the info. but I have still not found a "link" to my Tree. There is a distant connection that I have found by accident: Richard Martin(s) b 7 Feb 1762, d.1820, married Ann Angwin.Daughter Jane b 26 Apr.1795, m. Henry Trezise b 1801, son Richard b 12 Jan. 1833, died in either Maryland, USA or in California, 1905. Most of this info. comes from Towednack transcripts (baps etc), except the latter. There are Curnows in my line, but again no "link".Richard Martin`s great g-dad John (26 Feb.1678) married Catherine Curnow 1702. 6 children.
David.

Hi all, Just looked at the Trezise tree for the first time and cant add much to it, except re Grace Penberthy. It is highly likely that Grace, who married John Trezise in 1715, was baptised St Just 22 Nov 1690 the daughter of Isaac Penberthy and Katherine (Hall). Isaac's grandad Isaac Penberthy was almost certainly a brother to my Margaret Penberthy (= Bennet Shakerley 1605). Mike

I've just come across a Herculese/Archelaus Tresize in my lines that may also link to Isaac Penberthy et al. Herc. Tresize and Gartarret Welch, daughter Jane marries John Davey or Davis in 1684 in St Just (Penwith).
If William Davey/Davies who marries Grace Bennets in 1753 is, as I believe, the grandson and in turn Grace Bennets is linked to Isaac Penberthy through her (my calculation) mother Margaret- it would all "fit" very nicely. There seem to be a lot of connections between Davie/Davey/Davies and Bennets in this area at this time too.
Thanks in advance,
PS Tried to download files from site- no luck!

My 2x grt grandmother was Susanna Symons who migrated to Australia, her parents were Robert Simons and Catherine Miriam Roskilly who were married in 1813 at St. Keverne. I believe Robert was a son of Thomas Simons who married Miriam Martin at Wendron in 1773 and Catherine was a daughter of Simon Roskilly who married Jane Tresise in 1794 at St. Keverne. I have cobbled together who I think their Trezise (with variants) and Martin ancestors were, but would really appreciate help from this tree if it is available. Thanks.

You are not doing anything wrong. I tried the link and got the same thing which turns out to be an Ad. At top right there is a large button 'Skip Ad' but when you click on it you are taken to a sign-in page for a Free Trial of some Movie site and can get no further.
I tried entering the URL (adf.ly) manually and it appears to be a forum with some similarities to this one however the username and password do not work. As it has been several years since Simon set up the links on this Forum I suspect that changes have been made and through 'lack of use' the Trezise links may have been removed.
Perhaps if you contact David by personal message he might find some way to get the information to you. (davidkingmartin)
