I may be a bit slow here, but I've just noticed what an interesting resource is provided by the Voters Lists now being transcribed and coming on-line at the Cornwall OPC website, www.cornwall-opc-database.org/. The Voters Lists cover the expanded franchise following The Representation of the People Act 1832 and show individuals who qualify to vote because of their landholding. Since the earliest predate the 1841 census, you can get an idea of where such people were living prior to the earliest census information. Coverage of the Penwith area is patchy, and apparently, in one of my parishes of interest, Crowan, only names A-H have survived for the 1832 list. Nevertheless I found some names of relevance to me.
