Dear Cornish friends, Edward Parnall married Elizabeth Carlyon. You can see from the census record attached, they settled in Tuckingmill and were responsible for helping building Roskear Church. Edward was born in 1808 in Cuby near Tregony, and Elizabeth was born in 1817 in St Martin in Meneage. She was baptised in Manaccan. My question is when exactly were they married? If you look at the family you'll estimate 1835-7, probably in the St Keverne district, near Elizabeth's parents' home. Henry Parnall (Edward's youngest son) is my wife's ggrandfather. I am a new member and this may need referring to CT. I appreciate it isn't a specific Penwith question, but perhaps some kind person can help? Kind Regards Quicksilver Attachments:

Hi Quicksilver - no need to worry about your question not being Penwith-specific. Although Zenobia originally began this forum to focus on West Penwith it was soon found that expansion was unavoidable. Even in the very early days people from West Penwith could be found in Counties far from home. So you could say it is now more about people 'from' West Penwith. I see that Newlyn has found the marriage so I will look at the general picture of things sometime later today once a have some time free from outside commitments. CT
