A little more on Malachy.
As with 'probable' brother Francis who got the '7 year holiday' in America Malachy was most likely born sometime between 1701 and 1716.
My understanding is that he first married Elizabeth PRUST at Falmouth in 1736 and had a son named James who was baptised at Falmouth in 1737.
I have no record of Elizabeth's demise but it seems probable that this same Malachy was married for a second time.
Malachy TREWHELLA m. Margaret ROBINSON January 28th, 1748 at St Mary at Hill, London.
At this point in time I have no idea what happened to young James.
But I can offer the following on Malachy:-
Malachy had another brother named BALDWIN who was baptised at Towednack in 1700 and died about 1741.
Baldwin died aboard the ship 'BATHSUA' but had left a Will.
Administration of Baldwiin's estate was granted to brother Malachy TREWHELLA September 5th, 1741.
(I believe the Will may have been transcribed and the date altered to refect the new Gregorian Calendar as the copy I have was written January 10th, 1741 - which would have been after Admon.)
However, Malachy was not mentioned in the later Will of his brother James (1764) so it is presumed he had either died before hand or had lost contact with the family.
The final part of this note is the following article supplied some years ago by Chris Letsh of Maryland, USA:-
"Genealogical and Historical Abstracts" by Karen Mauer Green from The Maryland Gazette
"Wednesday, 19 December, 1750, The ship Neptune, Malachy Trewhella, Commander, lying in Patuxant (river) at Lower Marlborough, will take on tobacco consigned to any merchant in London."
That is about all I know of this Malachy so if any other person can add to it I would be most appreciative.
