Most Parish Registers and Bishop's Transcripts for most parishes have gaps in the early years, which I have dubbed "Black Holes". All of us have ancestors whose baptisms or burials got swallowed up in one of those holes.
The earliest registers for Lelant are the Bishop's Registers held at the Cornish Studies Library in Redruth, which begin in 1611. Bishop's Transcripts held on film and available thru the LDS begin in 1679, and the parish register begins in 1684.
Below are the missing years (which cannot be found in any of the three sources). This may be helpful for those compiling early Lelant families, where persons are known to exist from Wills or other records, but whose birth or death cannot be found. Knowing which years are not extant can often help to narrow down the time period of the missing events.
