Thanks Damo for that bit of information that should help us to help you. And thankyou Newlyn for your input which seems to be the first link in the chain here. But I still think there might be something missing here. Damo - I get the impression that this is about as far as you have got but your information is not very specific. Is it the RESEIGH side you are looking for or perhaps TREMBATH? Or are you stuck at some point with both? Is there any information you have been given that does not seem right and is confusing the problem? Are there any other facts you have that might be of assistance to us in determining the correct lineage? Always prepared and happy to help. As for the origins of the name RESEIGH I can offer the following:- From:- A Handbook of Cornish Surnames - G. Pawley White RESEIGH From res-segh : dry ford. Place name Rissick, St Buryan (Ressegh 1296). Far in West Cornwall. (I think 'Far' is probably meant o be 'Found' but I have quoted verbatim.) There may be other variations of the origins of this name and you will find one or two links on this site that will help you out. I do know that most times I have come across the name it has been more around the Paul/St Buryan area. Look foward to your further input and will try to have a good look at things once Christmas is over and I have a few 'must dos' taken care of. Have a great Christmas and New Year. CT
