RICHARDStartig with the Richards let me see what we have and from thence where it leads.
We now know that the Richard QUICK who married Blanch CURNOW was the son of Richard and Jane (nee BARAGWANATH)
This means that it is most probable (as I have previously suggested) that the Richard QUICK who married Ann WILLIS at Paul was the son of James and Ann (nee TONKYN) and therefore brother of Edward QUICK who married Margaret WILLIS at Paul in 1816.
I believe we discussed the parentage of the elder Richard (husband of Jane BARAGWANATH) and came to an agreement on his probable parents.
However I have not yet updated my database to reflect that discussion and will need to re-read the threads to find that data.
But I would like to go over that again and explore all possibilities.
My problem here is that I can now see no possible link to BORALLAN!
And that is where Richard and Blanch QUICK were in the 1841 Census (I think?).
Ann d/o of Richard and Blanch was also 'of Borallan' when she married in 1850.
With all other people at Borallan in that particular Census having direct links to James and Mary QUICK of Borallan I have been sure that Richard must also be connected somehow.
Apart from that dilemma I now have only two of the earlier Richard QUICKs in my database who are 'unidentified' - but one is at Kenwyn and the other at Poughill.
JAMESBecause of the now positive identification of Richrd (m. Blanch) I must yet again reconsider the identification of one or more of the James QUICKs that have been discussed.
Although having not made any database updates on these I had, I think, produced some reasonable arguments to support suggestions of where they might belong.
That has now most certainly changed.
So without having yet read through all the relevant threads again I think we need to review the following:-
Richard husband of Jane BARAGWANATH
The various 'unattached' James QUICKs
The various 'unattached' William QUICKs
I will attempt to cover all of this in the next few days.
