Just a bit of advice on baptisms, I have noticed that baptisms are not ALWAYS within a few days of birth, I even have some adult baptisms on file. Let's watch out for these sneaky baptism dates that could throw us off track easily!!! 26 Apr 1852 William Henry c/o William Henry & Mary Davies of Penzance, b. 20 Feb 1852 20 Apr 1852 Selina c/o William Henry & Mary Davies of Penzance, b. 18 Mar 1848 Are there any Wesleyan records pre 1805?

Not real sure on that one. You might try West Penwith Resources and have a look around for the information. Or even try the CRO Online Catalogue which may list some. CT

Hello Malcolm The Cornwall OPC site www.cornwall-opc-database.orghas some Non-Conformist baptisms dating back to the late 1700's........ The earliest I have found in my searches being 1789. You have to remember to select the category "Non-Conformist Baptisms" at the top to do your search. Best regards HeatherC
