Thanks for that information Heather, much appreciated . I have Luggs from St Ives on my mother's side, so I'm sure they are connected somehow.

Richard LUGG born St Ives, 1851; son of John and Mary J (see freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~kayhin/51917f.html). John born 1826 in St Ives but there is no baptismal record. Only record for John is one in Veryan in 1826. I am sure that the LUGG families in St Ives descend from the children of John LUGG and Margery UREN who married Uny Lelant, 1766. Some of the children stayed in St Ives and my branch went to St Buryan. Children of this couple were; Ann b. 1767, John b.1769 d.bef 1776, Margery b.1771, George b.1772 d.1819 (St Levan), John b.1776, Henry b. 1777, Peter b. 1780 d. bef 1783, Peter b. 1783
