Any help with another of my blockages greatfully received!
Pascoe Rickard (and various spellings such as Paskaw and Richard) md Eleanor Rowe at St Just 30th March 1833. Various census records show his birth place as St Columb, circa 1807.
I have been unable to confirm his birth/baptism date and/or trace his parents. Any suggestions appreciated!

No sign of a Richard Pascoe anywhere around St Columb 1805-1809. And no sign of a Pasco Richard anywhere at all in that period. I think we first need to confirm whether he is Pasco Richard or Richard Pascoe. And then it might be helpful if you could let me know the 'exact spelling' as you found it in each individual Census so that I might take a look for myself. That way I might be able to find a couple of clues that might help. I also found the 1833 marriage at St Just as Richard Pascoe who was then a 'sojourner of this Parish'. There is a Pascoe RICKARD and wife Gertrude at St Columb Minor with a fair family in the 1881 Census. Pascoe was born at St Columb Minor about 1844/5 - part of the family you seek? CT

Another thought - I am not sure that either of the two St Columbs (Major and Minor) are very well covered in IGI so it might be worth contacting the Online Parish Clerk for some help.

The 1851 census also has the following - possibly a brother?

Firstly - thanks to everybody for the comments.
Pascoe is Pascoe Rickard, with sometimes a change in the spelling of Pascoe and Rickard. I’ve never found him as Richard Pascoe.
Pascoe Rickard seems to be a name that is past down through Rickard families. Whilst I can’t connect Pascoe with his parents, there is evidence of other Pascoe Rickard’s in earlier years. Also in the 1871 census, living with Pascoe is Pascoe T Rickard aged 2. He is recorded as Pascoe’s stepson, but is more likely the son of Pascoe’s son Richard (he is recorded as Richard’s son in later census data).
Whilst putting this response together, I referred to my own research notes and found that I documented the following note about a year ago – this may help?
“I believe the main clue for tracing his ancestors must be the name Pascoe, an unusual christian name gets passed on to subsequent generations. With this in mind I set about tracing other Pascoe’s and trying to find a reason for the use of the name.
My theory goes something like this. I have traced the marriage of Thomas Rickard (bn 1707 St Columb) to Mary Pascoe (bn 1709 St Columb), which took place at St Columb on 25th October 1739.
They name their son (bn 1740 St Columb) Pascoe Thomas Rickard, presumably to keep the Pascoe family name alive and using Thomas after his Father’s name.
Pascoe marries Catherine Hoite in St Columb on 20th December 1760 and I have traced five children for them:
• William bn 1766 • Richard bn 1770 • Mary bn 1773 • Enoder bn 1778 • John bn 1881
I have not traced any other Rickard families in St Columb at this time, and my educated guess is that my Pascoe is a Grandson of Pascoe Thomas Rickard, but by which son? The only clue I have is that Pascoe names his only son Richard, possibly meaning that Richard born 1770 his Father.”
Any further help on this line would be greatly appreciated.

Gandolph,
Thanks for info. re Enoder Rickard in 1851 census. If the theory in my last comment is correct, Enoder seems to be recurring family name. So yes, he may well be a brother or cousin. Thanks for this - I pursue this line of research!
