I have developed a small interest in the PERROE/PERROW family of St Hilary via the marriage of William TREWHELLA to Honor PERROW 23rd December 1824 at St Hilary.
I have determined that Honor was baptised 1st July 1787 at St Hilary d/o Anthony and Honor.
In the 1851 Census she was a widow and enumerated with brother Anthony and sister Elizabeth.
Anthony PERROW (Honor's broher) had a wife named Mary and I am unable to find the marriage.
If someone can locate this for me it would fill in another little gap for me.
The parents were Anthony PERROW bp. 9th March 1755 at St Keverne and Honor PEARCE who were married at St Hilary 2nd August 1778.
I have not yet attempted to identify Honor but she was buried at St Hilary 13th November 1814 at the age of 62.
Anthony was buried as 'Antony PERRA' at St Hilary 4th May 1825, age 71 of Marazion.
Anthony was the son of John and Dorothy PERROE.
AGAIN - I cannot find this marriage and would appreciate some assistance with it.
John and Dorothy had at least six children all baptised at St Keverne.
What is interesting here is the interpretation of the surname.
The mother's name varied and appeared as Dorothy, Doritye etc. but I will use Dorothy for convenience.
First son John was baptised at St Keverne 4th November 1742 as son of John and Dorothy.
IGI shows the surname as PERROS
The St Keverne PR Transcript shows it as PASCOE
Next son Stephen was baptised 19th April 1744 at St Keverne and was buried there 27th May 1744.
IGI shows the surname as PERROE
PR Transcript shows it as PENROSE
(The PR Transcript shows the burial as PERROE)
The next son was Thomas baptised 14th June 1745 at St Keverne.
IGI shows surname as PERROE
Pr Transcript shows it as PEARSE
Anyone confused yet?
If someone can help out with the two marriages it would be a great help.
And should there be anyone out there with a general interest in the family I will be happy to discuss and pursue it further.
