Well - seems we might have a slight disagreement here!
I have tracked the family of Richard and found his children through the Census records and then matched a couple of baptisms and a marriage.
From there I have worked backwards and I am reasonably happy back to the marriage of Edward Hollow and Ann Perry.
But it is beyond this that I have found a bit of a problem.
At this point I do not believe that Edward was the son of Edward and Hannah.
But the dilemma then is - just who were his parents?
The reasons I do not believe him to have been the son of Edward and Hannah are as follows:-
1841 Census - Edward is age 70 which puts his birth around 1770/1.
However in 1841 the ages of people aged 15 and over could (and usually were) be rounded down to the nearest five years.
This then puts Edward's birth somewhere in the vicinity of 1766-1771.
Interestingly the age of his wife Ann in 1841 appears to be quite accurate as she was baptised at Zennor in 1767.
1851 Census - Edward and Ann were both still living and this time Edward's age is recorded as 82 which now puts his birth about 1768 or 1769.
Once again Ann's age is quite accurate at 83 which reflects her 1767 baptism.
Edward son of Edward and Hannah was baptised 31st October 1773 and it would appear he was probably born not much before that date given an elder brother was privately baptised 15th March 1770.
That makes about five years difference.
It is also interesting to note that Edward's birthplace was Towednack according to the 1851 Census.
My further problem is with the children of Edward and Ann:-
Edward bp. 30th March 1800 St Ives
Grace bp. 6th June 1802 and buried 30th July 1802 Madron
Grace bp. 24th June 1804 Madron
Mary bp. 13th April 1806 Madron
And although I have not yet found a baptism there was also a daughter Susanna who was born sometime around or before 1811.
Susanna married Thomas Elliott Tresidder at Madron 12th February 1832 and two of her children were residing with their grandparents Edward and Ann Hollow in 1851.
Also still living at home were Edward's daughters Grace and Mary.
If Edward were the son of Edward and Hannah then why did he name his first two daughters Grace?
It is possible that Grace was named for Ann's sister but I am not convinced of that.
The fact that the name was used twice is more a reflection on a maternal name.
And the closest we can come to Hannah is with daughter Susanna who appears to have been the last child.
I suspect daughter Mary was named after Ann's mother Mary Perry which is another pointer to the likelihood that Edward's mother was Grace.
I should add that Grace only comes into play as a sister to Ann Perry IF my reconstruction of the Perry family is correct.
It appears that Ann's parents were married at Illogan and had three children at Illogan before relocating to Zennor where I suspect at least one of them originated.
John Perry married Mary Perry 27th July 1753 at Illogan
Grace bp. 10th February 1754 Illogan
John bp. 2nd May 1756 Illogan
Grace bp. 25th November 1759 Illogan
(No further children at Illogan for any John Perry and then children appear at Zennor for John and Mary)
Mary bp. 18th July 1762 Zennor
Anne bp. 9th June 1765 Zennor
ANN bp. 23rd August 1767 Zennor
Elizabeth bp. 26th August 1770 Zennor
Francis bp. 14th August 1774 Zennor
But things are far from cut and dried!
I can find no marriage so far of a Hollow to anyone named Grace - at least not around the right time.
So what was the significance of that name?
It was obviously important enough to name a second daughter Grace after the first apparently died.
I seem to have raised more questions than answers here but I am far from convinced that Edward and Hannah are the correct link.
There is something missing here somewhere and I need to find it.
