William George Wallis, Ironmonger married Ann Humphrys at Sennen 1844. His father was William (Found him with Ann on 1851 census) but I am having trouble identifying his parents - no Sennen baptims, a possible at St Just. I suspect that he may have been Ann's mother Honor's brother but cant prove it. I'm pretty sure Honor's parents were Robert & Mary (nee Hutchens). They are buried at Sennen with their daughters Catherine & Elizabeth and Martha (next door). Any ideas?

As stated in the Welcome Thread - I will try and take a look at this after some sleep and hope that I might be able to help you. I think there is a fair chance I will be able to track down something for you but let's see what happens.

Have just found the marriage in the Sennen OPR and I think we have some work to do on this one. 3 Sep 1844 by Banns William George Wallis full age Ironmonger of St. Georges, London (Father: William Wallis, Ironmonger) Ann Humphrys full age of Sennen (Father: Jonathan Humphrys, Miner) Witnesses: James Wallis, Richard Botheras Was William George Wallis born in Cornwall? He was obviously 'of London' at the time of marriage so did he return to Cornwall (Sennen) to marry Ann? Was his father in Cornwall or in London? Let me see what I can find. I need a little further help here. Can you tell me exactly what details were included in the 1851 Census so that I might have a starting point to search. I note that one of the witnesses was James Wallis which could be a clue. But I do need the 1851 Census information so that I can find it and work from there. From an initial search it would appear possible the names may have been indexed in a manner that I cannot yet find. Help me with that information and I think there is a chance I can find some more for you.
