Robert Garfield QUICK was definitely born at Kaiapoi according to the church records that I found at the Christchurch Library.

Thanks again - I thought 'Napier' was a little strange but I do not know how or where the information was found by he person who supplied the stuff to me.
Never mind, will work on what you have found and make a note about the other.
Have another small Quick note coming that you may find of some little interest.
Had it nearly finished and 'somehow' lost it all so will try again.

While I was searching for a possible war record of Robert Garfield QUICK, I came across a record for a certain John Quick MITCHELL for WW1. Is there any chance that he is related to Emma Jane's first husband Simon T. Mitchell??

Hey CT I assume that you are having connection problems again so this wil be a wee something for you when you get back on line. Christopher Osborne QUICK is buried at the Kaiapoi Public Cemetery and there is a headstone. On it is a memorial to Robert Garfield QUICK who was killed in Palestine in 1917. Christopher died on the 22nd December 1936 and was buried on the 26th. I will get you a photograph of the headstone if you wish and I will send you a copy if you give me an email address. The headstone also commemorates Christopher's wife Emma. There are quite a few QUICKs in this area so I will check up on them as well as time permits. Lannanta

Hey again CT
There was a birth registered at Kaiapoi on the 1st December 1903. It was for: Stanley George QUICK, born on the 15th October 1903 at Kaiapoi, son of Christopher Osborne QUICK, a 49 year old farmer from Cornwall, also son of Emma Jane QUICK, formerly TREWHELLA, aged 40 from Cornwall and married on the 12th April 1892 at Christchurch, NZ, and the informant at this birth.
Hope that helps tidy up a few loose ends.

Thanks for all of this Lannanta. Yes, certainly interested in the photo and you can find my updated email address in my Member Profile. Will work through this all properly as soon as I can but I think I am gradually catching up to the point where I can go back and start again. What I mean is that I might be able to go through everything again a little more slowly and carefully and input something relevant and to the point.
