I need a little help here please troops. Dorcas Quick married Robert Johns of St Ives at Towednack 1st February 1807. I currently know of two children:- Christian bp. St Ives 5th February 1809 Jane bp. St Ives 7th August 1812 Then I have this marriage:- Robert Johns, tin man of St Ives, s/o Robert Johns, tin man m. 17th June 1849 at St Ives Elizabeth Roberts Bell Their first child:- Dorcas Quick Johns born 1850 at St Ives. Robert was born about 1819 at St Ives and the names suggest that he was a son of Robert and Dorcas. But I do not have details of any children other than Christian and Jane. Would appreciate it if someone can locate these details for me. Also requiring the marriage details for Benedict Quick (baptised 1791 St Ives) when he married his first (of three) wife Elizabeth sometime before the 1841 Census. Later posts will give you all something more to chew on and help me solve a couple of other Quick-related problems.

Certainly. In addition to the 2 children you listed, I've found 2 more baptised to Robert & Dorcas Johns: Mary, bapt. 8 November 1816 Robert, bapt. 18 June 1819 On both these baptisms father Robert's occupation is listed as "Tinman".

:-*Thankyou my little treasure. Exactly the information I required and I can pretty much finalise that little section of the problems. I was unsure whether Allen actually had the marriage of Benedict or was going on half-baked passed on information which is the reason I included it. Now that I have it from two sources I should think I will be happy. Been working hard on the Quick families of St Ives with still quite a bit to do. But hope to have a couple of interesting problems outlined for all to see and tackle sometime tomorrow night. Should be fun. ;D Time for bed so thanks again - and have a nice relaxing day.

Thanks me luvvly - I did have those but I appreciate you thinking of it and passing them on anyway. I am afraid there will be some more work coming up for you when I get my two 'problems' posted but you must ensure you enjoy 'May Day' before concerning yourself with them. With a bit of luck I will do what I said yesterday and get something posted tonight but still have a lot of work to do on the PRs I am working on at the moment.
