G'day Mate - I am not sure if I have a copy of that Will or not.
I certainly have noted the date it was written and also the date proved.
It may be that I have some details of it in one of my files of Wills Abstracts but I am not sure.
As for daughter Elizabeth - I have some notes regarding this in my database.
20th June 1997 - Nancy Tonkin to check the original Zennor Register.
Entry appears in both Transcript and IGI as d/o Thomas and Mary but Jean Nankervis says Thomas and Elizabeth had a daughter Elizabeth.
As Thomas (1759) has a problem also between Transcript and IGI I suspect Mary has been substituted somehow for Elizabeth.
And for Thomas (1759):-
20th June 1997 - Nancy Tonkin to check this entry in the original register.
In the Zennor Transcript Thomas appearss as s/o Thomas and Mary.
In the IGI Thomas appears as s/o Thomas and Elizabeth.
(I think we have seen this problem before.
)
I will check my files in a few moments to see if I can find the details of the Will of Thomas Quick.
Meanwhile - the only possible marriage I can find at Zennor for this Elizabeth is the following which I have, so far, not connected:-
9th November 1793 at Zennor
Matthew Stevens m. Elizabeth Quick
Found It! (And looks like you can ignore this last marriage.)
THOMAS QUICK, yeoman, of Zennor
written: 10 Feb 1790
proved: 1 May 1799
son: WILLIAM
eldest daughter: ELIZABETH w/o WILLIAM LAWRY of Morval
2nd daughter: MARY w/o WILLIAM THOMAS of Treen, Zennor
3rd daughter: ANN w/o ARTHUR BERRYMAN JR. of Zennor
each of my grandchildren
wife: ELIZABETH executrix
So - the answer is William LAWRY.
Now I need to see if I can find the Marriage.
Note also that son Matthew is not mentioned in the Will so it would seem he also pre-deceased his father.
I am not sure where the information from that Will came from so cannot absolutely guarantee the information.
Other problem is that IGI does not show a marriage between the two relevent parties so I am not sure where to start looking.
One thing you might CHECK PLEASE - the name of the Parish associated with William.
If you can read it well enough does it actually say of MORVAL or is it of MORVAH???
It is also possible that Elizabeth had been previously married.
All can do for now - time to get back onto the St Ives records.
