Welcome aboard 'jogo'. I see you live only about three and a half hours from me - I live in Chiltern. Now let me take a look at your posting. First of all I need to make a correction for you. The James Trembath bp. 26th January 1783 was chr. at St Just in Penwith as son of Edward Trembath and Elizabeth James. Your James was bp. 6th April 1783 at Morvah as son of William Trembath. I presume you have located burial details for Cordelia but, if not, you may find the following interesting:- Morvah Burials 11 Nov 1813 Cordelia Trembath of Zennor Churchtown, aged 2 2 Oct 1814 Cordelia Trembath of Zennor, aged 30 Let me see if I can identify the correct children for James and Cordelia. 16 Oct 1808 Joanna d/o James Trembath at Madron 8 Jan 1810 Jane d/o James Trembath at Madron 3 Nov 1811 John s/o Jas Trembath at Madron 7 Nov 1813 Cordelia d/o James and Cordelia Trembath at Zennor Children of James and Elizabeth 17 Jan 1817 James c/o James (Miner) & Elizabeth Trembath of Sancreed b. 2 Dec 1816 (Penzance Wesleyan Methodist Circuit) 18 Jan 1824 Cordelia c/o James and Elizabeth Trembath (Miner) of Bosullow at Madron 30 Mar 1828 Jane c/o James and Elizabeth Trembath (Miner) of Buswens in Sancreed at Madron 9 Oct 1831 Jane c/o James and Elizabeth Trembath (Miner) of Boswens in Sancreed at Madron Unfortunately I do not have access to Baptism records for Morvah, Penzance or Madron, other than the above, for the relevant period but I would suspect there may only be another 3 or 4 children involved. Possible burials:- Morvah 16 Apr 1853 James Trembath of Bodifty, Gulval, aged 70 And that seems to be about all I can do for now. I would appreciate some further information here including why it has been concluded that James was s/o William and Hagar. Some years ago I began piecing together the families of Morvah which included the Trembaths but I ran out of information at the time. Let me know how all this looks and I will help pursue it further as I can. Ian

Decided to take a look at some Census records.
1841 Little Bosullow, Madron Jas Trembath, 58, miner Elizabeth do., 50 Cordelia do., 15 Jas Michele, 5
1851 Bodrifty, Gulval Michell Trembath, head, mar., 30, farmer of 15 acres & miner, Zennor Elizabeth do., wife, mar., 29, Sancreed Edward do., son, 8, Madron Elizabeth do., daur, 5, Madron Michell do., son, 3, Gulval Jane do., daur, 4 months, Gulval James Trembath, lodger, widower, 68, Morva
So it seems Elizabeth died sometime between the 1841 and 1851 Census yet I cannot find her at Madron, Gulval or Morvah.
Although James is enumerated as a 'lodger' here I believe he is probably the father of Michell Trembath who was born about 1820. That fits neatly into the gap in my list of children from my previous posting and gives us another link with Zennor.
Let me know what you think.
