Was looking for confirmation that William, son of James Quick and Jane Knighte married Elizabeth Stevens in Zennor.

From all the research I have done on this family over the years I can say YES - that is certainly my understanding. Marriage occurred 13th April 1681 (OS) at Zennor I believe Elizabeth to be the daughter of Edward STEVENS. Let me know what further you need and I will attend to it as soon as I can. Must get belongings moved this week and settle in to the new place.

OK, so William and Elizabeth had a son called Edward. Can you confirm that he is the Edward who married Philippa Quick, daughter of Richard and Amy Nance?
I promise that will be the last for a while.

Allen - don't be afraid to keep posting queries that I may be able to answer. It will be simply a matter of 'catching up' as and when I get time during and after the move and depending on the fire season here. You post 'em and I'll get to 'em. As for your latest query:- Once again, from all the research I have done (together with others) that is correct however there is some confusing information involved. It is believed this is part of the family known as 'Nicholas als Nance'. Amey was baptised to Richard and Phillipa Nicholas at St Ives 26th December 1668 (IGI) and married Richard Quick at St Ives 26th November 1686. Richard and Amey had three children of whom I am aware - Richard (1687-1706 St Ives), Phyllep (1st November 1689 St Ives married Edward Quick) and Amey bp. 1st August 1692 St Ives (IGI) married Charles Jenkin at St Ives in 1718. Richard Quick was buried at St Ives 24th November 1692 and left a Will. Amey, his wife, then married Robert BENNATTS at St Ives in 1694 and had a further six known children. I do not know of anyone who has so far found the marriage of Edward and Phyllep but it would appear to have been no later than 1711. Hope this helps and, as I said, keep posting the questions and I will answer as best I can and as soon as I can. Ian
