Allan - I think it is always best to try and sort out the descendants for yourself and then possibly make comparisons with the work of others.
There are times when you might need to consult the work of others for clues but as much as possible try and do it yourself so that you are not led astray. You can also find your own sources and note them.

"My reply #7 on Jan 3, 2013, 17:34" included:-
"In the 1851 census:- Living at Bojewyan Stenock [?], St Just. Elizabeth 57 widow yob 1793-1794 b St Just John 23 yob 1827-1828 b St Just William 22 yob 1828-1829 b St Just Thomas 19 yob 1831-1832 b St Just. ANOTHER SON. WHERE DID HE COME FROM? CAN’T FIND A SUITABLE BAPTISM. IS THIS THE RIGHT ELIZABETH? CAN’T FIND ANOTHER SUITABLE ELIZABETH IN THE CENSUS."
I think that this could be the family of Maddern Trembath (1792-1840) & Elizabeth Trembath (1794-after1851).
Allan.

That is why I am going through the Casley tree (a joint production) to satisfy myself as far as possible that there are the best sources I can find for the "facts" contained therein. I don't have access to Australian records & the Sartorelli tree appears to have been used for including the Trembath/Casley descendants in the Casley tree. I just thought that it may give a lead-in to those who can access those records & verify the same. Allan.

Allan - I have copies of the Victorian Indexes which usually give just the year of event rather than complete dates. But they do, where known, generally give parent names. I also have South Australian Indexes up to around 1910 with other States such as NSW being accessible online.
New Zealand BDM Indexes are also available online.

Thanks, CT. Didn't know about these. Have now found the death in 1983 of a cousin's wife in Victoria & for a small fee was able to sight the Historical Index record & discover her parent's names. I then found her parent's marriage in Ashton under Lyne, England. She died in PRAH which I thought was an abbreviation for a hospital but apparently it is Melbourne. Allan.

Allan - PRAH will be an abbreviation for 'Prahran' which is a suburb of Melbourne. CT

Researching Elizabeth CASLEY c 1800 St Just in Penwith, who married Thomas TREMBATH 13 Mar 1822 St Just in Penwith. I believe their children to be: John TREMBATH Thomas TREMBATH Elizabeth TREMBATH c 7 Jun 1822 married William BETTS Richard TREMBATH c 1835 St Just (emigrated to Australia) William Trembath c 1836 married Lucinda Emmerly CUNDY (emigrated to Australia). I think this Trembath is related to me. I live in Australia.
