Yes I have, thank you. I have just run into a roadblock with the Furze side of my family. Guess they hadn't moved into the Penwith area yet :-(

Cousin Jack - although it is some 22 years earlier I have just searched the 1641 Protestation Returns to see what I could find. I have copies of the Returns for every Parish in Kerrier and Penwith except for Falmouth which for some reason did not appear in the volumes by T.L.Stoate. For Kerrier Hundred there was NOT ONE mention of the name Furze/Furse with the only similar name being Fosse. But Penwith is interesting. In the 1641 Protestation Return for Penzance there is one solitary male of 18 years and over who goes by the name of Furze. MARRETT FURSE That is the only entry from all Parishes of Penwith and Kerrier. In case you are not familiar with the areas the two Hundreds cover every Parish from Land's End up to and including Illogan, Redruth, Gwennap, Perranarworthal and Mylor which Parishes form a line running from the North Coast in a Southeasterly direction finishing at the Carrick Roads where the Parishes of Mylor and Feock adjoin. Armed with this information I have now had a search of 'The First Book of the Madron Parish Registers' and found the following:- Marriages Thomas FORSE married Allice 15th October 1599 Merret FURSE married Christen 12th May 1633 Burials James son of Thomas FORSE buried 11th December 1603 Marratt FURSE buried 28th March 1677 Those are the only references I can find. For any further discussion on this I would suggest you return to one of your earlier Furze threads or begin another. Just let me know which you would like to do and I will move this information to the new location. CT
