Zenobia has introduced some interesting points here regarding the Samuel Michells.
Zennor is one of those Parishes where, at the time, only the father's name was recorded for a baptism.
And I must admit that this has caused me many problems in the past.
I am going to have to take a very careful trip down 'Michell Lane' and see what I can work out from here.
And I must admit that, in this case, I am working from information I last looked at neary ten years ago.
I WILL APOLOGISE if I have led anyone astray here as it was certainly not my intent.
Have only just realised how little work was done by myself (personally) on the family of Samuel and Mary Michell.
This is something I will attempt to correct in the next few days (before I have to start moving!)
I do recall having some concerns here - probably starting with the gap between the baptisms of Anne (1806) and Mary (1812) as shown in the list of children in my database.
PROOF POSITIVE ;D I am not completely infallible
This will annoy me for days now so I had best get some rest before working and then coming back to 'wrestle the tiger'.
Thankyou all for bringing this to my attention and I will do my best to sort it out.
Will keep you posted on my progress but hope to have something done fairly soon.
BTW - BAZ - please send me a PM and let me know whereabouts in Wodonga you are.
If you ever get down to Chiltern you will normally find me at the Telegraph Hotel where I work. (Sometimes I am not there, of course. :
Hope to have more after work tonight.
