I agree. I don't see any evidence of a Zennor connection. As I recall it Zenobia had them traced to Gulval in the early 1600s, although whether they were using the Kerroe alias at that time I don't recall off the top of my head. Perhaps that happened after they moved to St Erth.

From Kathie's Wills Abstracts Pt 10:-
Admon. of Bennatt Bennatt als Cerrow of Uny Lelant granted to James Bennatt als Cerrow snr., son of the deceased 29th October 1666. The Bondsmen were the above James Bennatt snr. and James Bennatt als Cerrow jnr. of Lelant. Mentioned in the account are tin bounds in Lelant and Towednack as well as money paid for the funeral of Margaret Bennatt, wife of Bennatt Bennatt the deceased.
