Welcome to the Trengove section!
It is devoted to the Trengove family (originally Nances) who had their origins in John Richard Trengove of Trengove-vyan, Illogan. From there fragments of the family spread to Redruth, Camborne, St Erth, Breage, Madron and Constantine, and later to Stithians, Perranarworthal and Gwennap in the 17th and 18th Centuries.
In the 19th they positively exploded from their Kerrier fastnesses across Cornwall and to the four corners of England and the world - USA, Canada, South America, Austalia and New Zealand.
This section will contain source material on the Trengoves, as well as links to pictures and other information.

There was also a Nance alias Nichols family at St. Ives in the late 1600s... Looks like all the Nances wanted to be someone else... ;D

I think this might be the family I was alluding to in my note about St Ives with Nance/Ninnes so we can try to pursue it.

Mark, If you go to this link and put in Trengove, you will find a bunch of them, with Nance appended: www.a2a.org.uk/It is best to choose the "Global Search" because from there you can manuever around to the full text of the documents. If you simply 'search the catalogue' you only get pieces of documents... (I learned the hard way after doing hundreds of random searches on names I thought would be associated with mine in order to get the full jist of the docs )
