Genie - that 1881 FreeCen information is totally incorrect. I have just had another look at the image of the original page and this is the accurate data:- North Country John Taylor, head, marr., 54, tin miner, Ludgvan Margaret Taylor, wife, marr., 53, Towednack John H Taylor, son, unm, 29, tin miner, Ludgvan Hanibal Taylor, son, unm, 20, tin miner, Redruth Philip Taylor, son, unm, 17, gardener, Redruth Annie C Taylor, daur, 11, scholar, Redruth Now - I have not yet found the Curnow connection but I have found something else for you that I am now sure is going to be correct. John HARRIS Taylor bn. 3rd Qtr 1851 Vol 5c Page 181 Penzance Hannibal CURNOW Taylor bn. 1st Qtr 1861 Vol 5c Page 279 Redruth Ann CURNOW Taylor bn. 4th Qtr 1869 Vol 5c Page 239 Redruth John TAYLOR m. Margaret HARRIS 3rd Qtr 1851 Vol 5c Page 269 Penzance 1851 Census Towednack Village of Amalwidden (next village on but can't quite make it out) Mary Harris, widow, 60, formerly miner's wife, Madron MARGARET HARRIS, daur, 22, stamps girl, Towednack Lydia Harris, daur, 19, stamps girl, Towednack Cannot seem to find this family in 1841 and having trouble locating John Taylor in 1851 so will leave you with that bit of information.

It isn't Freecen's fault it was mine!
It was the 1891 census I was referring to,not the 1881

My apologies - just had another look at that posting and it seems my eyes were malfunctioning. It is certainly titled 1891. The one error really was that you had Hannibal listed as age 39 when it should be 30 but that is okay. Because of a combination of 'minor' errors on the part of us both it caused me to go looking for further information which I supplied in my previous posting.
