Excellent! Now we know for sure. I will put Ann in my family tree, and now I know for sure that Charity outlived Richard and I know just where she was. This is great.

My pleasure - but still a lot more work to be done!

OK, but let's not worry about the Gregory family. They seem tangential.

Doing Gregorys would be great, but to avoid tangents, just start it in a new thread, and continue the Thomases (it was Thomases wasn't it? - I'm getting lost... ) here...

Turns out that Ann Thomas married Richard Gregory, and it was Ann Burt who married William Trathen.

Thankyou Calswimmer - will try and look at this in the next day or so - IF I get the chance. A couple of other things I am trying to resolve plus should be starting to move this weekend so things may be a little hectic. Will do my best.

It was useful to sort out the Gregory family relationship. I find Ann and husband Richard on board the Ellen Vair in 1871. That's why Charity Thomas, Ann's mother, is with their young children and listed as mother-in-law. So Hannibal Gregory is Ann Thomas's son. I don't find Richard Gregory, who was born in 1817, in any census before 1861. He was born in Gwinear. I suppose they both died before the 1881 census.

You're going 'great guns' Calswimmer. If I get the chance tonight I will come back to this and see if there is anything more I can find for you. Otherwise it may have to wait a while until I have the other threads and also my house moving sorted. Will try my best for you.
