I heard that one of my relations used to work at the above mines; after searching on internet today found a list of all those who worked in the mines in 1905 (India); just thought if anyone else had heard about their ancestors working there they might like to look on the list; I am happy to say that were listed. The address is: www.geocities.com/athens/2960/kgf1905.htmlKim

Hi Kim - just had a quick look but cannot see anyone immediately except for one CURNOW who might be connect (or at least of interest). Thank you for this contribution as I think it will be beneficial to more than one of our current members and, hopefully, to many members that, I hope, are about to join. Keep your contributions and queries coming as I am trying to work on things that can help. Cornish Terrier

Just like to add a warning here. Others might find similar. My great gran's brother Joseph Perrow was a gold assayer in the Kolar Gold Field. He appears on the list but as James Perrow.
I think the list has been transcribed from another document and originally abbreviations may have been used - Jos. for Joseph being thought by someone to be Jas for James.
