There is no record of a Will or Admon. for Nicholas Grose in the England & Wales, National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations), 1858-1995 on Ancestry which suggests that he may not have left a Will. The National Archives link for this is:- probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#calendarBut I have checked it and also found nothing. CT

Does anyone know how you research land ownership online for the past in Penzance Cornwall?

A thought or two-- You can see this family move from Madron to Penzance and the family make-up change with work, marriages and deaths on Census records. Daughter Ellen marrying and then returning home as a widow and then working as a housekeeper's assistant to her widowed mother. What I would suspect from the lack of probate filings for either Nicholas Grose or his widow, Elizabeth, is that they did not own any real estate/real property. Some of their residences were on Coulson's Place. A Mary Coulson (2nd wife/widow of John?) paid taxes in Penzance on various parcels of land in 1873 that might have included those properties. To me A would indicate acres and think in survey feet vs rods-- but I'm in the USA cornwall-opc-database.org/search-database/more-info/?t=land_tax&id=256917Zib

From the 1871 census, Nicholas Grose was living at 1 Coulson's Place, Penzance which judging by the adjacent pages in the census was near Coulson Terrace and Regent Terrace. The address still exists today and can be found on Google Maps from which a current view of Coulson's Place can be obtained with Google Street View. In the census, No.1 appears to be the first in a terrace of 8 houses, maybe looking much as it does today. His neighbours were a stonemason, shoemaker, inland revenue officer, post office clerk, mariner etc. In an era before widespread home ownership I would imagine that most/all of these properties would have been rented, so I agree with Zib that probably there was no real estate to be disposed of. One way of checking could be through the rate books of Penzance Borough Council (which usually list owner and occupier of a property) but as far as I can see there are none in the archives and also no tenancy agreements made by Nicholas Grose.
