Good evening
I am wondering if anybody has the William Uren in their database who married Patience Richards in 1834 at Madron. I have been trying to find his family but the best that I can do at the moment is that he was baptised in 1804, the illegitimate son of Mary Uren

Hi Lannanta - I have William and Patience in the database but had not identified either of them. Patience, according to the Census, was born at Gulval but it appears she was probably baptised 27th July 1806 at Madron daughter of John Richards. Not sure which John this was and at the moment don't have the time to try and sort out the multiple possibilities.
William Uren is supposed to have been born at Penzance around 1805. The OPC database shows 22 baptism entries for William Uren during the years 1803-1807 and of those there are just 2 'standout' possibilities.
1. 12th June 1803 son of John - baptised at Madron 2. 25th May 1804 son of Mary - baptised at Penzance
On the available information I would think the illegitimate son of Mary is the most likely given he was baptised at Penzance and therefore likely to have been born there.
Identifying Mary might be a little more tricky!

Morning CT
Yes that is how I see it as well given the records that are available.
It is not a great issue for me, I was just looking again at the Susanna Glasson/William Dobb saga that you solved some time ago and of course daughter Grace Runnalls Dobb married a son of William and Patience and then she died the next year.
Appreciate your help as always

Always happy to help. BTW - not sure if you have any Glasson/Eddy issues but I am still working on the Eddy families and should you ever require it I should hopefully be able to answer at least some potential questions. CT
