It never ceases to amaze me how the people at FamilySearch are able to regularly come up with ways to make using their site more difficult and frustrating!! The latest version has been around for a little while now and the more I attempt to use it the more inclined I am to say that the creators of this latest version have gone 'above and beyond'!! It is much more of a nightmare now than it ever was to try and find anything. For a site that has so much to offer it is difficult to comprehend the reasons behind some of the so-called 'enhancements'. But, then again, perhaps those involved in all the 'improvements' never actually have to try and make use of the nightmare they have created. A 'simple' search now requires a University Degree to be able to use and understand it. AND (as per usual) they cunningly omit a Feedback option directly back to themselves! The feedback option that is available requires you to become a member of the Discussion Forum and have a little chat about it there! CT

Totally agree. In the last couple of years there have been so many "improvements" that the site is becoming virtually unusable. Instead of creating a "beta" version to test modifications and obtain user feedback, prior to launch, the webmaster (I use the term loosely) fiddles around on most Mondays making (mostly unnecessary) mods which often disable or adversely affect other functions. I'm getting less and less happy with using the site, however, having said that, it is the only free alternative to the majors such as Ancestry, MyHeritage, Geni etc. and being parsimonious, I guess I'll just have to put up with it.

It is unfortunate and extremely irritating because there is a treasure trove of information to be found on FS with much of it not yet available elsewhere. I also have Ancestry which I use just about every day and there is more and more content being included there but FS has always been a place to find what could not be found on other sites.
