Hi everyone. Firstly, congratulations on this most fascinating Forum.
My wife and I have been researching her family history. Her gt-grandfather was Paul QUICK b. 1843 Madron. He looks to have moved, with his family, to the Portsmouth area around 1882/3. We have browsed the discussion board dedicated to the QUICK surname and will place a more detailed post there in due course.

Hi Rodders and Welcome to the site.
Yes, Paul Quick seems to have wandered off to Hampshire sometime after 1877 when wife Alice died and 1833 when he married widow Mary Ann Barber (nee White) at Widley Parish Church in Portsmouth in 1883.
Keep reading and enjoy the site. If you wish to raise questions or post comments about the Quick family please do so but please keep them to the Quick forum.
