Thomas DUNN and Mary REMFRY were married at Phillack 18 Dec 1794. Thomas DUNN was said to be 'of Crowan' - see www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89GF-R22F?i=37 . After this, I can find no other record of the pair in Cornwall - no baptisms, no burials. Does anybody know what happened to them?

Sorry Roger, I can offer no help with this one I'm afraid. There is a burial at St Erth in 1807 for a Mary Dunn of Crowan but with the date and name being the only details this could be any of possibly several candidates. The fact that Thomas Dunn was 'of Crowan' at the time of marriage is also not overly helpful and nor is the fact that no children can be found.
If Thomas Dunn was from the Crowan area then it is unlikely that he would be involved in a maritime trade so that 'should' rule out Ireland. Wales might be a possibility although it seems a little early for a Cornish miner or farmer.
There seems to be nothing in the Ancestry Public Trees forum either.

Thanks, Ian, I appreciate your comments. I had speculatively placed the 1807 Mary Dunn burial as that of my great-great-grandmother, widow of James - I know the family lived near Kerthen Water on the St. Erth/ Crowan boundary and burials often took place in the neighbouring parish of St. Erth - though I agree that there are several possible candidates.
