Was there a minimum age for an executor of a will in early 17th century Cornwall? Could a 17 year old have been an executor? Thanks

Minors were often named as Executors in Wills but only those of adult age could actually perform the task of Executor. Hence in Wills where minors are named Executors you will usually find reference to Trustees to act on their behalf until they came of age.
