Joseph George married Grace Gundry

Joesph George married Grace Gundry on the 8th June 1823 at Crowan.
I think this Joseph is the son of Joseph George and Annie Nicholas born 1800 at Sennen. (This is who I am looking for)
However looking at census and marriage details this Joseph might be different.  Sadly no father on marriage.
Sorry I am a little confussed with areas of Cornwall, and how far someone could travel.  Would this be Joseph son of Joseph and Annie?

That 1851 Census is a little confusing given the George family is the first listed after the notes indicating the 'end of the Village of Pengigan' and beginning of the 'Village of Brea'. But it does appear to indicate Joseph George was born at Brea in Camborne.
If you look at the original Census the place of birth of Grace George is even more obscure and I cannot quite make out what it is meant to be.

BUT - have you tried looking beyond 1851???

Take a look at the 1861 Census and you will find Joseph George age 60 and his wife Grace also 60 living at Pool, Illogan. More importantly for you is the places of birth recorded for this couple - Joseph stated he was born at ST BURYAN and Grace stated she was born at CROWAN.

Given your Joseph's mother was baptised at Sennen and married at St Buryan and also given that, except for Joseph and his brother William being baptised at Sennen in 1800 and 1802, all other children of Joseph George and Anne Nicholas were baptised at St Buryan. The one exception is in 1813 when a possible late child, Stephen George, was baptised at St Just - at the moment I have him assigned to this family but not completely convinced just yet.

This does now look very much like the Joseph you are looking fore.

Thank you very much. I thought this might be the case.
I am going off notes from someone else and working my way over them, and the penny dropped with Joseph, that he really didn't fit well. Another set of eyes is always welcome. Thank You.

As we have talked about sometime ago about the George family. If this is my line or not? Now I have two possible lines to try and figure out.

A DNA match comfirms my Elizabeth Daniel (via her brothers family line) So now working on these George's, Henry George and his family line. Totally head spinning. Sadly no DNA matches apart from family in New Zealand link to the same line as me.

I did find the marriage of Henry and Elizabeth quite intresting, as it has Henry and his father Joseph both as Husbandman. Henry is a miner in 1841 and 1851 yet Husbandman at marriage in 1844? (Pasted below).
I have quite a job to pick my way over this family.

Henry is a miner in 1841 and 1851 yet Husbandman at marriage in 1844?

Don't get overly fixated on the occupations as they can be misleading. The thing to keep in mind that a miner, a farmer, an agricultural labourer, a husbandman and even a fisherman are all 'labourers' of one type or another. It is also worth remembering that for some people their occupation might change from season to season or simply depending on conditations at a particular time.

An occupation is often a good guide but it is always best to look for multiple means to help identify individuals.
