I think I need a fresh pair of eyes to take a look at these as I am not sure if I have gone completely wrong somewhere. The biggest trouble I think is I put my research aside when other commitments take over and then when I come back I am even more confused and mixed up than before. Need a better notes system I think for ensuring I can pick up easily next time. So if anyone has some tips for how they keep ongoing research organized so that they can pick up easily after breaks it would be greatly appreciated.
So I have Philip as being born 1746 in Zennor. I am pretty sure his parents were Phillip Eddy and Elizabeth Osborn/e - however am not 100% sure on his father’s and mothers births. I have Elizabeth (mother as born about 1716) possibly daughter of Thomas Osborne and Elizabeth Edwards and Philip as born 1704 to David Eddy and Katherine Gartrell - but I could be completely wrong on these so far.
I am also trying to establish all the children of Philip and Elizabeth Osborn/e - they married in 1745 and there are children between a Phillip and Elizabeth up to 1763, but that would put Elizabeth into her mid/late 40s having children if she was born 1716, so not sure if I am wrong with their births. Obviously son Philip also married a Elizabeth (Thomas) but they didn’t marry until 1769 so the children born in the earlier 1760s I can only pinpoint to Philip Eddy and Elizabeth Osborne - would it be likely that a mid 40s lady was still having children in those times? I can’t imagine a 47 year old bearing children back then, but what do I know, which possibly means I do have the incorrect births for Phillip Eddy senior and Elizabeth Osborne. In which case what could be the correct births/parents
I believe Elizabeth Thomas is the daughter of Hannibal Thomas and Charity Stephens and was born 1748 in Zennor. Witnesses to her marriage to Philip Eddy was Hannibal Thomas junior and Mary Purchase.
Sorry if the above it confusing.
