Is there a way to sort the posts on the board so that the most recent is at the top? I have looked in the Profile and Settings. I think it would be much easier to read them that way (for me at least). Chris Australia GEDMATCH A665883 Ancestry Username coolgarra Webpage www.chriswright.id.au

Chris, if you go to top left, HOME, then scroll right down to FORUM INFORMATION, THREADS AND POSTS, then you can click on either RECENT THREADS or RECENT POSTS. I think that should give you what you're after.

There is a much, much simpler way to achieve that goal. On the Home Page scroll down to the bottom and you will find a section called 'Forum Information & Statistics' - it looks something like this:- There is a lot of information there including our total number of members, states for the number of users online in the last 24 hours etc. Probably most people never take much notice and I must admit that I only glance at it occasionally. However, in answer to your query - the section that will help you is the first part of that panel under ' Threads and Posts' where you will see some options highlighted in blue. You will see a line 'Last Updated' which shows you the very last post that was updated. The next line is the one you want and has four options:- Recent Threads - click on this and it will show you the most recent threads that have been updated in order from the latest backwards Recent Posts - clicking on this one gives you a list of the most recent posts that have been updated - again in order from latest backwardsDon't worry about 'RSS Feed' or 'Mark All Boards Read'- RSS Feed just gives a page of html code and if you click on the last option it will actually mark all boards and therefore all posts as having been read. If you are idly roaming through the different sections anything that is unread will have a little 'new' sign to highlight the fact you have not read it. That should get you all out of trouble! (And hopefully make things much easier for you all)

Perfect! Thank you both for your assistance! Yes CT, I did give that section a cursory glance...but didn't notice the Threads and Posts! Chris Australia GEDMATCH A665883 Ancestry Username coolgarra Webpage www.chriswright.id.au

Glad to have been of help Chris. But on reading through the thread again I see that I Sue a bit of an apology! I had not noticed that she did actually point you to the exact same place. CT
