Hi All - Roy appears to be having trouble posting so has asked me to display the following message for him -
Due to the closure of The National Archive at Kew for the present it is possible to obtain up to 10 FREE items. Well worth doing as I have found 7 wills, sadly not Cornish. Could you please let members know Thank you Roy

The number of free items is actually 50 over the course of the 30 day free access period which commenced on 24 April, but only ten items can be downloaded at a time. The link is here www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/about/news/digital-downloads/ and it does require setting up a free account and logging in. An index of available wills is shown on the website for each OPC parish and includes those already downloaded and available to us. OPC's are being asked to use some of their 50 item allocation to download additional wills for the OPC Wills Project We, as users of OPC data, are being asked to consider downloading wills as part of our allocation and making them available on the OPC websites. John Evans, OPC for St Stephen in Brannel is coordinating the process to avoid duplication. He can be contacted through his email address which can be found on the St Stephen page.
