Hi, I am looking for my ancestors John and Jane (Oliver) Osborne they are my great x4 grandparents who lived in Sancreed. They had a son John who married Jane (Bramble) Osborne my great x3 grandparents. I am looking for birth dates, dates of death and where they maybe be buried for the parents of John and Jane senior or any information in general. As I am new to this please bear with me if I make any mistakes. John and Jane Junior had a son Richard who was born in 1804 and Richard married Sarah (Richards) and they lived on a farm called Westmoor near St Buryan were they raised their children. John Senior I believe was born c 1750ish and John Junior was born c 1770. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks cross1.

For the time frame that you are looking at, you will not find birth or marriage certificates. You will need to search through church records to find christenings and marriages for your people. You should start with the more recent ancestor and work your way back using original records. Do not rely on online pedigrees. The Familysearch website has many images of church registers -- you will need to check church records for christenings, marriages and burials for both St Buryan and Sancreed. Also check Cornwall OPC (online parish clerks) website. You should also check to see if the people you name left any wills, which can prove apparent family relationships. Trencrom

CROSS1 - Yesterday I asked you to refrain from posting what is basically the same question all over this site yet you seem to have taken no notice at all and instead have raised the same query again in TWO DIFFERENT sections of the site!!! This is NOT the way to help yourself. You are beginning to INFURIATE me and simply making your own situation worse by confusing everybody else. PLEASE FORMULATE ONE 'RESPONSIBLE' POST ALONG THE LINES REQUESTED BY TRENCROM AND PLACE THAT POST IN AN 'APPROPRIATE' PLACE ON THE FORUM! Once you have created that SINGLE thread then PLEASE KEEP ALL CONVERSATION ON THAT PARTICULAR THREAD!! We are here to help you if we can but it would be really nice if you could go someway to helping us to do that by doing as I ask. CT
