I have a Dorcas Bosanko b.1721 married to William Jewell in Crowan but i have conflicting information regarding her parents, i have her father as Reginald Bosanko whereas a lot of others have her father as being Thomas Bosanko.
Welcome! I wish I could help. I have Trewhela/Jewell links but they are WAY too much further down the line to assist you. I am glad you have joined the board and hope that answers you need will be forthcoming. I am presently celebrating discoveries that were twenty years in the making. May it go more quickly for you. Crowan is a major area of research for me.

Welcome from me also.
Now, there are a couple of questions to be asked in order to try and get to the bottom of this problem.
1. what are the sources of information for the birthplace, age and, therefore, date of birth/baptism for Dorcas? 2. do the details of birth/baptism that you have for the daughter of Reginald match those given by people who claim her father was Thomas?
Whilst awaiting those answers I can tell you firstly that FamilySearch seems to indicate just one Dorcas and that she was baptized at Crowan in 1721 to Reginald. Further to that I have checked the Crowan Parish Register and the Bishops Transcripts and the name of the father in the 1721 event is definitely Reginald.
Not all records for Crowan, especially at that early date, are in the best of condition. Many pages are illegible due to water or other damage and many have only fragments that are legible so it is possible there was another Dorcas whose baptism is now lost. ON the other hand the source of information regarding Dorcas wife of William Jewell being daughter of a Thomas Bosanko might possibly come from a Will. You would need to check any Bosanko Wills to see if there is mention of Dorcas. Any mention of Dorcas in Wills of the time would be useful but more so if her father left a Will that named her as wife of William Jewell.
Thanks guys, I'm enjoying exploring my Crowan heritage at the moment.
I have Dorcus' birthplace and date from Family search records - i normally like to confirm with other sources but this far back is difficult to find, with regards to Thomas, several of the trees on ancestry have Thomas as the father, i know i can't rely on this information but I've tried finding records to either confirm or deny, or at least work out where this could have come from but have been unable to find any. I thought someone could shine some light on it or if it was a mistake that has just caught on.
I will look into the wills angle and let you know if i find anything.

There is definitely a baptism record in the Crowan Register and the Bishops Transcripts for Dorcas Bosanko in 1721 and the father's name in this record is definitely Reginald. You can pencil that in as documented fact.
The fact that someone has Thomas as the father may or may not have some evidence to support it and at the moment a Will would seem the most likely source.
Aha! - I've checked Ancestry Public Trees and located one where Thomas Bosanko is listed as the father of Dorcas. A date of 20th April 1723 at Crowan is recorded so I've checked some more and found the details.
The page of the Crowan register on which this event was recorded is torn so the name of the child is missing as is the actual date - but there was a child baptised at Crowan in April 1723 to Thomas Bosanko. I've also checked the Bawden Transcript which shows a reference in the 1723 Bishops Transcript which records that Dorcas daughter of Thomas Bosanko was baptised at Crowan 20th April 1723. Unfortunately I cannot find that particular Bishops Transcript in my collection so cannot check it but it does seem that the information is probably correct!
So your task now would be to try and sort out which is correct and I think the best way to do that is to establish if Reginald and/or Thomas Bosanko left a Will.
Okay, to save you a bit of work I have now checked for Bosanko Wills at Crowan. The first one I found was for Reynald Bosankoe of Crowan, tailor, dated 1760. This Will is quite clear and comprehensive but does not mention a daughter Dorcas or any son-in-law or grandchildren named Jewell.
I then looked for a possible Will for Thomas Bosanko and found one dated 1784 which was the only one that might be of some help. I think this one gives us the clue!
The first bequest is as follows:-
I give to Darcus Juel the sum of to shillings and Sixpence
Thomas does not specify any children but those named are inferred to be sons and daughters. Those named are:--
1. Darcus Juel 2. Samuel Bosanko 3. Florance Bosanko and her son Thomas 4. John Bosanko of Wendron 5. Thomas bosanko named executor so presumed to be eldest son
This would seem to indicate that it was indeed Thomas Bosanko who was the father of your Dorcas who married William Jewell.
The CRO reference for the Will of Thomas Bosankoe is AP/B/4596.
I've sent you a copy of the Will of Thomas Bosanko via email.

Another 'nail in the coffin' I'm afraid!
I have had yet another look through various Crowan records and in the Bawden Transcripts I found the following:-
Dorcas daughter of Reignald Bosanko buried 7th September 1722 Crowan
That would now seem to leave little doubt that the Dorcas who married William Jewell must have been the daughter of Thomas Bosanko and, therefore, the 'Dorcas Juel' named in the Will of Thomas Bosanko in 1784.
