Benedict Quick, born Mevagissey, Cornwall married Mary Hannah Wallis in St Ives in 1852.
By 1854 they were in Victoria, Australia and the death of their son Benedict Quick is recorded in 1854.
In 1856 the birth is recorded of a daughter Mary Hannah Quick.
Searching through the Trove newspaper records online there are a number of newspapers who in February 1879 record the marriage of Kate Jane Quick, eldest daughter of Bennett Quick of Daylesford, to Robert Woods.
With respect to the 1856 birth of Mary Hannah, I cannot find a death for her, and I cannot find a birth for Kate Jane. Can I therefore suggest that if Kate Jane is the eldest daughter of Bennett Quick, that Kate and Mary are the same person?

I included this family to my database 2 years ago and also found no birth for Kate nor a death for Mary Hannah but it doesn't appear to have occurred to me at the time that they might be one and the same person. Your suggestion makes sense to me … particularly as in 1859 there was another daughter who was given the name of Hannah. CT
