Hi All,
I've just hooked into the forum and am hoping someone out there can help me?
Some of my paternal ancestors I believe, came from Zennor - starting from the North Inn in Pendeen we have my Great Grandfather William Patrick Eddy born 1875, his father being James Eddy born 1839, his father being William Rowe Eddy, his father being William Eddy born 1780, his father being William of Morvah, I then believe there is a David Eddy and further again Phillip Edy/Edye of Zennor who was mentioned in the Hearth Tax of 1664. If there's anyone out there to confirm or deny this, add to or suggest further leads I'd be truly grateful.

A 'Hi' to you and Welcome to the site. I have this family in my database and the line matches what you have back to William Eddy baptized 6th February 1780 at Morvah. Beyond that the line I have differs and goes as follows:- William Eddy 1780 William Eddy 1751 Madron son married Ann Mason at St Just 1777 Andrew Eddy born about 1714 married 1. Jane Harry1734 Morvah and married 2. Jane Jenkin 1742 Madron David Eddy probably born before 1677 (parents not known at this point) married Catherine Gartrell 1697 Zennor David probably had siblings Joan (m. John Renoden 1689 Zennor), Cheston (m. Nicholas Johns 1700 Zennor) and Richard who left a Will dated 24th November 1757 and was buried at Ludgvan 1st February 1758. I would suggest that we think about moving this thread to a more appropriate area of the forum but I will take care of that once the conversation gets going. CT
