Hello, new to forum. I was reading some of the older threads about Elizabeth or Jane Elizabeth Curnow who was my great, great grandmother on my mothers, side she is a Hurley. As my mums in her 80's and knew the whereabouts of my grandfather's and his father locations verify the links back to the marriage between William Hurley and Jane Curnow back 1848 in Swansea. I've only recently with my nephew linked into some other research which dates the line back to C1520 in Cornwall via the Bolitho family.

Hi By my reckoning that would mean that William Curnow 1779 & Elizabeth Bolitho are your GGGGGparents; they are my GGGGparents. A fun snippet about this particular Curnow line: did you know that your Elizabeth Jane Curnow's baby brother Joseph had a daughter Rose, whose son Cyril Parkinson is responsible for the well-known "Parkinson's law" that Work Expands to Fill Whatever Time is Available?! Ah-ha - my 1st email notification that a thread I'm part of has been updated! Anyway, Happy Christmas to you too Mark, and CT & everyone else. I've never looked into Elizabeth Jane Curnow & William Hurley's descendants beyond their children's entries in the 1881 census in central London, so it will be interesting to learn who moved on etc. If your Curnow predecessors are of interest to you Mark and you have any queries, I have spent more time researching them (with CT's invaluable assistance) than is probably good for me over the last few years! Sue
