Hi, I am married to Jack Ninnes. He was born in Hamilton, New Zealand. We are visiting the UK in August 2015, and are staying in Penzance on 18th and 19th August. I am trying to organise the family tree. Jack's Dad was called Leonard, born around the 1920's in New Zealand. Leonard's parents, we think, came to New Zealand from Cornwall around the 1840's.
Unfortunately both of Jack's parents have died, and little is known about his ancestry. We hope to find out more in due course!

Hi Debbie
I envy your trip to Penzance and can I suggest that Jack and yourself might like a beer at the Union Hotel in Chapel Street, Penzance?
I am not sure from your message how much research you have done but if it is very little I would first glean what information you can from any NZ records you can get your hands on before you head overseas. If Leonard was born around 1920 then surely his parents could not have arrived in NZ 80 years or so before that in the 1840s. I think having access to Leonards birth entry would be very beneficial to you as it would show his parents including his mother's maiden name and from there you can start to move backwards in time.

What do you mean by 'post on front page'?
If you mean that you want to create a new Forum then only the Administrator can do that. Zenobia handed over the Administrator function to myself many years ago so you would need to explain to me exactly what it is you want and why. I have never had to create a new Forum but if you can explain what you want and it is warranted then perhaps I can look at it for you.
